Alistair Flowerdew

Alistair started his career in Reading as an Senior House Officer (Junior Doctor) in general surgery after training at St Thomas’ Hospital.

He became actively involved in management during his time as a consultant in Dorset. Subsequently, he became Medical Director in Salisbury before moving to Scotland to be Medical Director of the Golden Jubilee National Hospital in Clydebank.

Alistair has been closely involved in surgical education for the Wessex Deanery and led a number of improvement and safety initiatives in the South West of England. Alistair has also worked in New Zealand and Australia during his career.

Alistair joined the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust in November 2012.
