Ian Davies has extensive local government experience from Wales, Stevenage, Cherwell in North Oxfordshire. He has been a local government chief officer or director for 20 years and has been responsible for a wide range of frontline services. In 2011, he was appointed as Director of Community and Environment Services for both Cherwell District and South Northamptonshire Councils.
He has always held the responsibility for health improvement but became more involved in the wider services of the health sector in 2007 through his involvement in the Horton General Hospital in Banbury. Currently he is interim Chairman of the local Community Partnership Network which is a community stakeholder body to engage, influence and communicate changes in the health and social care sector in North Oxfordshire and surrounding areas.
A keen sportsman, he is an avid Welsh rugby supporter and plays competitive squash and village cricket.
